Restart Music Fest

The hospitable, vibrant, marine, and ancient island of Cyprus is ready to open its doors to you within the framework of the "RESTART Cyprus" festival. Participants will have the opportunity to visit landmarks from various eras – from ancient Greek to Roman, from medieval to architectural monuments of later times. Cyprus is proud of its own Olympus (1952 m.) in the Troodos Mountain range. Cypriots believe that their Olympus is the true abode of the gods of the Greek pantheon. Participants will also be able to enjoy the place where, according to legend, Aphrodite was born from the sea foam. Shakespeare enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Othello and Desdemona's time. According to one version, the historical prototype of Othello was the Venetian commander of the island, Christoforo Moro, who governed Cyprus from 1505 to 1508. The "RESTART Cyprus" festival not only provides the opportunity to showcase your talents on an international stage but also allows for a deeper immersion into the rich cultural and historical atmosphere of Cyprus. Online Competition
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Fill out the application form in the "APPLICATION" section on our website.
2. Attach a link to your performance video (YouTube, Google Drive, Yandex Disk, or other platforms are accepted).
3. Wait for the results announcement no later than February 28, 2024.
PRIZES
🎖 Every participant receives a Diploma and a Medal.
🏆 Winners receive prizes and discounts for the Spring RESTART competition in Cyprus!
📄 Additionally, you will receive written feedback from the jury.
Shipping of Diplomas and Medals is at the recipient’s expense.

The online competition has no age restrictions.

Participants
The competition welcomes children and youth engaged in creativity in specialized institutions, privately, or independently without a mentor.
Competition performances are organized according to a specific schedule based on age categories, progressing from the youngest to the oldest.
1. Choreography. Soloists, duets, ensembles.

street dance (Locking, Popping, Hip-Hop, House, Break-Dance, Crump, Whacking, Vogue, Street Jazz, Dancehall, C-Walk, Electro);

cheerleading, acrobatic dance;

Expert Evaluation
The jury follows to the criteria when evaluating contestants:
1. Professionalism.
2. Artistic expression: This includes the totality of means and techniques of the performer’s stage behavior, such as the ability to behave freely on stage, move fluidly, the appropriateness of the performance to the content of the song, the level of artistic taste shown in creating costumes and props, originality of performance, and the quality of backing tracks or musical accompaniment.
3. Repertoire Selection: The suitability of the repertoire to the image of the contestant’s, considering age characteristics, appearance, individuality, temperament, and character for creating an image.
